Midwifery Skills Workshops:
PRENATAL BASICS WORKSHOP $147 (4hrs)
MAY 15th, 2025 (Thursday) - 12pm-4pm - KANSAS CITY, MO
This workshop will teach you the basic skills for a prenatal exam including:
- Taking blood pressure and pulse
- Measuring fundal height
- Determining baby's position (Leopold's)
- Finding & counting Fetal Heart Rate
- Important health assessment questions
- Writing notes in medical chart
All students will participate hands-on using medical equipment and models provided to learn these skills.
(Min 3 - Max 10 Students)
BIRTH ASSISTING WORKSHOP $297 (8hrs)
This workshop will teach you the basic skills for assisting a midwife at a home birth, including:
- Set up/Clean up
- Charting & Times
- Listening to Fetal Heart Tones
- Taking Maternal Vital Signs
- How to behave and not behave at birth
- How to be most helpful to the midwife
- How to help resuscitate a baby
- How to administer medications
All students will participate hands-on using medical equipment and models provided to learn these skills.
(There is a 30min lunch break, bring your own lunch)
